The lucky winner of the R70 million PowerBall jackpot from the 31 May 2024 draw has claimed his prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Plus Benoni Maxican, in Benoni, for a mere R15 wager, and a Quick Pick.
The winner was unaware of his windfall for days and only believed it after ITHUBA confirmed he held the winning ticket.
Grateful and emotional, the winner plans to honor his late parents by installing tombstones for them, fulfilling a long-held wish. He expressed that this brings a sense of closure and hope for more blessings in his life.
Looking ahead, the winner aims to handle his newfound wealth with care, planning to make thoughtful financial decisions with guidance from ITHUBA’s expert advisors.
