A Limpopo shop assistant became a multi-millionaire by winning a R16 million LOTTO jackpot with a ticket bought through the Capitec banking app.
A young shop assistant at a local fruit and vegetable retail store in Limpopo has just become the newest National Lottery multi-millionaire.
She hit the jackpot by matching 6 numbers in the LOTTO draw on Saturday, 4 May 2024, winning an impressive R16 million.
Her winning ticket was purchased through the Capitec banking app with a R10 wager using the Quick Pick selection method.
Despite her newfound wealth, she expressed her intention to use the winnings solely to build her family a large, beautiful house.
The humble winner emphasized that she will continue working at the retail store and living her life unchanged by the money, as it will not alter her character.
