How to play Daily Lotto in-store and online

Daily Lotto is easy to play either in-store at any National Lottery Retailer or online through the Ithuba website or mobile app.

In-store

Step 1: Get a Bet Slip. You can obtain a Daily Lotto bet slip from any National Lottery Retailer.

Step 2: Choose your Numbers. Select the number of draws you wish to participate in, and then simply mark any five numbers from 1 to 36. Alternatively, you can opt for the ‘Quick Pick’ option for random number selection.

Step 3: Complete the Bet Slip. Mark your chosen numbers and indicate the number of draws you want to participate in (up to 10 draws per slip).

Step 4: Make your Payment. Take the completed bet slip to the teller for payment. Each board costs R3 inclusive of VAT.

Step 5: Receive Your Receipt. The teller will provide a receipt listing your chosen numbers. Remember to write your name on the back of the receipt.

Online or Mobile App

Step 1: Create an Account. Visit the Ithuba website or download the Ithuba mobile app. Sign up for an account by providing all required information, such as your name, email address, and phone number. Set up your account and verify your details.

Step 2: Deposit Funds. Once your account is set up, deposit funds into your account to purchase Daily Lotto tickets. This can usually be done using various payment methods available on the platform, such as credit/debit cards or electronic wallets.

Step 3: Choose Your Numbers.

  • Quick Pick: If you prefer random numbers, select the ‘Quick Pick’ option. The system will generate random numbers for you.
  • Manual Selection: Alternatively, manually choose five numbers from a specified range (e.g., 1-36) for each board you wish to play. Specify the number of boards you want to play.

Step 4: Select Number of Draws. Decide how many consecutive draws you want to participate in with the same set of numbers. Choose the number of boards you want to play per draw.

Step 5: Confirm and Pay. Review your selections carefully. Ensure you have selected the correct numbers, the number of boards, and the number of draws. Confirm your choices and proceed to make the payment for your ticket entries. Each Daily Lotto play typically costs R3.00 per board.

Step 6: Multi-Draw Feature (Optional). If you want to play the same set of numbers across multiple draws, use the Multi-Draw feature. This saves you from manually entering your numbers for each draw.

Step 7: Complete Transaction. After confirming your submission and making the payment, you will receive a confirmation of your entry. Keep your confirmation receipt or email as proof of your ticket purchase.
