From Pietermaritzburg to Manchester: Meet Chloe, the new South African face of UK49s

South Africa’s own Chloe makes her presenting debut today, Wednesday, 1 July 2026, with dreams of a Cape Town holiday home.

If you have ever felt that special spark of pride when a fellow South African makes it big on the international stage, you will want to tune in this evening. Today, Wednesday, 1 July 2026, marks a major milestone for the UK49s community as we welcome a brand-new face to our screens.

Chloe, originally from Pietermaritzburg, is stepping into the spotlight as the latest presenter for the 49s draws. While she now calls Manchester home to be near the studio, her roots remain firmly planted in South African soil. She is especially looking forward to connecting with the global community of players and, understandably, the adrenaline rush of her very first live draw.

Getting to know Chloe

Every presenter has their quirks, and Chloe is no different. Her lucky number is 42, and if you are looking for a theme, her favourite colour is green. She has also shared that her favourite way to play is a Canadian Bet. For those wondering what a presenter dreams of, Chloe says if she ever bagged a massive win on the UK49s, her first move would be buying a holiday home in Cape Town.

She joins an established team of presenters including Gina (favourite number 17), Helen (number 7), Kirstie (number 22), Tony (number 11), and Daniel (number 28). Seeing another local name added to that roster is a fantastic start to the month.

When to watch the debut

You can catch Chloe in action for the very first time during today draws. She will be handling the Lunchtime draw (known to many as Drivetime) at 17:49 SAST, followed by the Teatime draw at 18:49 SAST.

It is always a big moment when a new presenter joins the family, so let us show her some South African love as she picks those numbers for the first time.

Good luck to Chloe, and of course, good luck to everyone playing today.
