It is generally well accepted that one shouldn’t tell anyone when they have won the lottery.
However, according to an article written for Française des Jeux (FDJ), France Lotto’s parent company, some individuals decided to go against the grain.
“Sharing your joy with everyone is perhaps what you will want to do if you win the EuroMillions,” one story read.
“This is what Louis * did, who decided to share the news with his entire village when he learned that he had won 44.2 million euros at EuroMillions in 2013,” it continued.
