According to FDJ or Française des Jeux, the France Lotto Parent company’s online magazine this unfortunate series of events nearly happened to an Irish individual, who, disenchanted with the idea of winning, nearly threw his lottery ticket away.
“…he completely forgets this EuroMillions parenthesis. He does not think about it until he accidentally finds his ticket left in the same place in his wallet. Once again, he hesitates to throw it away. But out of curiosity, he finally decides to scan it to see if he has won anything. And what is his surprise when he notices that he has won 500,000 euros,” the online magazine stated.
