49’s Ltd, the operator of the UK49s Lottery, has issued a strong warning against impersonating their presenters or profiles.
The warning, shared on both Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), emphasizes that comments from presenters will only come from the official 49’s account. Any fake profiles will be blocked and reported.
This comes after players reported scammers posing as UK49s presenters, sending messages like, “I’m Gina. Pay me this amount so I can unlock winning numbers from the UK49’s office.”
Frustrated players have called for the immediate removal of these fraudulent accounts.
In addition, some players used this moment to voice complaints about number repetition in recent draws.
For instance, number 33 was drawn as the Booster Ball in three consecutive draws – both the Lunchtime and Teatime draws on Sunday, 1 September 2024, and again at Lunchtime on Monday, 2 September 2024.
Players have urged the operator to address this issue.
